Tomato Matrix F1

Matrix tomato originators – GREENOMICA LTD (London/Moscow). The variety is included in the register of admitted in 2011. Recommended for cultivation on the basis of personal subsidiary plots under film cover.

Various advantages: large-fruited, excellent taste and commercial qualities, immunity to a complex of nightshade diseases, withstands salinization of soil and irrigation water. 

Characteristics of the variety

Plant semi-vegetative type with a strong root system and tall leafy stems. The leaves are dark green, medium in size, semi-horizontal. The inflorescence is simple, forms 5-7 fruits. The first is laid over 9-11 leaves, then every 3 leaves. Articulated stem.

Fruits flat-round shape with medium ribbing. Large – the average weight of tomatoes is 220-240 gr. When normalizing brushes to 3-5 fruits, the size of the latter can increase to 400-700 grams. The color of the tomatoes is rich red, uniform, without a yellow spot on the "nose". Pulp – fragrant, dense, juicy, contains 4-6 seed nests. Taste – refreshing. Peel – glossy, elastic, does not crack.

Tomatoes have an attractive appearance, good keeping quality and transportability. Suitable for sale on the fresh market.

Variety purpose: salad.

Yield Matrix F1 – high. On average, 11 kg of marketable fruits are harvested per square meter. Ripening terms – medium early, 95-110 days from germination.

Immunity to fusarium wilt, cladosporiosis, top and root rot, mosaic. May be affected by bacterial spotting, nematode.

Growing conditions

Tomato variety "Matrix F1" picky about the state of the soil, yields even on dense and saline soil, tolerates daily temperature fluctuations. The hybrid is grown in film greenhouses of the 1st and 2nd turnover. To increase the yield, potash and organic top dressing is carried out.

Seedling selection

A quality healthy seedling:

• Shrubs – 30-35 cm high, branched. The stem is strong, but not thick (the diameter of a regular pencil).
• Leaves – few (6-7 pieces), whole, elastic, raised up. No wrinkling, yellowing, brown or black spots.
• Roots – shaped, moist, undamaged.
• The color of the seedlings is rich green. Pale, weak stems and leaves indicate a lack of light when growing seedlings.
• Age for landing at a permanent place – 55-65 days.
