Christine Garden Strawberry/Strawberry was bred in the UK by breeder D. Jennings primarily for commodity production and non-traumatic transportation. Therefore, the fruits of Christina are characterized by such characteristics as large size and increased density.
In the first wave of the harvest, the berries are quite large. Further, the fruits are slightly reduced. The collection can take up to three weeks.
Strawberry fruits are large, even, red with an orange tint. The taste is sweet, not cloying with a slight sourness. The aroma is pronounced.
The highest score can be given to the berry for its density, which leads to excellent keeping quality and long-term transportation without loss of presentation.
Christina makes excellent jams and marmalades. When frozen in the refrigerator, strawberries retain their shape, and when defrosted – does not flow.
Important: variety "Christine" can only show its full potential if it is sufficiently supplied with moisture and nutrients. Breeders recommend using a drip irrigation system, regular top dressing and preventive spraying against late blight.
