Tanai seed potatoes

The Tanai potato variety was bred by domestic breeders, employees of the Siberian Federal Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2011, the variety was included in the State Register of the Russian Federation for the West and East Siberian regions.

Variety features

Plant of intermediate type. Semi-erect shrub with large dark green leaves. Corollas are small, white, anthocyanin coloration is rare and insignificant.

Tubers oval, large, weighing 100-190 gr. The peel of a ripe potato is yellow with small eyes. Pulp – whitish-yellow, tasty, starch content 14-17%.

Assignment of the variety – canteen, culinary group CD. Marketability – 82-97%. Keeping – 92%.

Yield "Tanaya" high: commercial: 240-383 centners per hectare; maximum – 576; 8-10 tubers are removed from the bush. Potato ripening dates are medium early – growing season 80-85 days.

Immunity to cancer pathogen and golden cyst nematode. The variety is susceptible to late blight, wrinkled and striped mosaic, leaf curl.

Growing conditions. Tanai potatoes are unpretentious in cultivation, hardy, adapted to the weather and soil conditions of Siberia. In regions with a milder climate and fertile soils, the yield of the variety may increase.
