Seed potatoes Lyubava

The potato variety was bred by a group of scientists from the Federal Potato Research Center named after V.I. A.G. Lorch and the Scientific Center for Agrobiotechnologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Adapted to the conditions of the Siberian and Far Eastern regions. Included in the State Register of varieties approved for cultivation in 2003.

Dignity of the variety: high yield, early and friendly ripening, high yield of marketable tubers.

Variety features

Plant of intermediate type. Bush of medium height, semi-erect with small open leaves. Corollas of a reddish-purple color.

Tubers oval-round shape, medium size. Marketable potato weight 109-210 gr. The peel is red, with eyes of medium depth. The pulp of the fruit is white, with good taste, starch content is 11.2-16.9%.

Variety purpose: table. Marketability – 80-98%.

Productivity «Lyubava» commercial – 288-400 q/ha. Maximum – 524 c/ha, which is 134 centners higher than the standard. Tuber ripening dates are early, friendly – digging is carried out on the 45-55th day after germination.

Immunity to potato cancer, resistant to late blight pathogen in tubers. The variety is moderately susceptible to the golden cyst nematode and late blight on tops.

Growing conditions. "Lyubava" refers to cold-resistant varieties of potatoes. Ideal climate for growing – Siberia and the Far East. The culture will produce a stable crop in southern latitudes, but will require more frequent watering.
