Plant. Artemis has a developed, powerful root system, due to which a large number of tubers are formed. Stems of Artemis are erect, 30-40 cm in height. The leaves are even, medium in size.

Tubers Artemis are heavy, dense, with a rich potato flavor. Pulp with a minimum amount of liquid. Starch content – 11-15%. Skin color – yellow, flesh color – light yellow. Transportability and keeping quality of potatoes are high. Subject to the temperature regime + 3 ° C & nbsp; the crop is stored for up to six months without germination.

The yield of Artemis averages 230-350 kg/ha. Up to 25 developed tubers are harvested from the bush (not counting the little things). The maximum commodity weight – 110-120 grams, tubers are harvested 60 days after planting. Although potatoes can be dug up already for 45 days.

Planting and care

Deadlines. "Artemis" planted as an early ripe variety – in the second half of May, when the soil warms up well.

Soil. Potatoes love light, fertile soil – loam, sandy loam, after legumes, winter crops, annual and perennial grasses.

Water. In moderate summers, "Artemis" watered up to 1-3 times during the growing season. With a strong and prolonged drought, plantings need additional watering. The best option for potato plantations would be to organize a drip irrigation system.

Hilling "Artemis" carried out twice: when the tops reach 15 and 25 cm in height.

Feeding. For each growing season of potatoes, there are two top dressings – minerals and organics. 7-10 days before harvesting, the plants are sprayed with a solution of superphosphate.

Diseases and pests. Variety "Artemis" resistant to cancer, potato nematode and leaf curl virus. It has medium resistance to common scab and Fusarium tubers. Potatoes are highly susceptible to leaf blight infection. To avoid the latter, it is recommended to "pickle" seeds before planting, if infected bushes are found, they should be destroyed immediately.

During the growing season «Artemis» can attack the Colorado potato beetle, aphids, wireworms, spider mites. To protect the crop, it is necessary to treat the seedlings with insecticides in a timely manner.
