Perennial grown as an annual. The plant is strongly branching, with large, double and semi-double inflorescences - baskets (8-9 cm in diameter) of various colors. Dahlia is very thermophilic, loves fertile, moderately moist soils and bright, sunny areas. Necessary: timely loosening of the soil, periodic top dressing with complex mineral or organic fertilizers once a day of the week. In August, feeding is stopped. Seeds for seedlings are sown in the first half of April. The optimum temperature for seedlings is 18-20C. Shoots appear in 10-14 days. Plant out outdoors when danger of frost has passed. The most interesting plants can be preserved by digging up tubers and storing them during the winter at a temperature of +4-5C.
Dahlias are planted in flowerbeds, flowerbeds, massifs, and can also be grown in containers and balcony boxes. Long continuous flowering from late June to late autumn makes this unpretentious plant indispensable for flower decoration.
