An annual elegant plant with bright red silky flowers, similar to small poppies (5 cm in diameter) and openwork strongly dissected bluish foliage. Blooms profusely from June. The plant is light and heat-loving, but can tolerate slight frosts. Undemanding, grows well in dry sandy soils. Does not tolerate excess moisture and fresh organic fertilizers. Seeds are sown in the spring immediately to a permanent place, winter sowing is possible. Seedlings appear after 8-10 days at a temperature of 16-18°C. Does not tolerate transplants. It begins to bloom 40-45 days after germination.
Used in flowerbeds, flowerbeds, Moorish lawn, on rocky hills and in cutting. It is decorative not only with bright flowers, but also with openwork foliage.
