An annual very compact plant with large densely double chrysanthemum-like inflorescences, 10-12 cm in diameter. Marigolds are unpretentious, fast-growing, drought-resistant and light-loving plants, but they tolerate slight shading, so they can decorate areas on the north side of buildings. Seeds for seedlings are sown in early April, but for earlier flowering they can be sown in March. Shoots appear in 10-14 days at a temperature of 16-18C. During the period of growing seedlings, it is desirable to make 2-3 top dressings with complex mineral fertilizers. They bloom 2-2.5 months after sowing. Plant in the ground when the threat of frost has passed. Marigolds look harmonious in any flower beds.
They can be used in containers and baskets, planted in balcony boxes. Good and long stand in the cut. In addition, marigolds have a sanitary effect on the soil.
