Snapdragon or antirrinum large is a perennial plant, grown as an annual in Siberian conditions. Dwarf compact plants, flowering after 8 weeks of cultivation. Snapdragon is cold-resistant, photophilous, undemanding to soils. It does not require a lot of water, but in the dry season it needs watering. Seeds for seedlings are sown from early March to mid-April. Sow on the surface of the soil, without covering, cover with glass or film and often spray. The temperature required for seed germination is 18°C, seedlings appear in 7-10 days. If the seedlings are stretched out, you can pinch them over 4-5 leaves. Seedlings are planted in the ground in mid-May. Flowering starts from the end of May and continues until the snow, especially if the seed pods are removed in a timely manner.
It is widely used in landscaping. Low-growing casing varieties are planted in borders, carpet flower beds, rock gardens, containers, balcony boxes.
