Tomato Zorro F1

Originators of tomato Zorro F1 – GREENOMICA LTD (London/Moscow). The variety was included in the State Register of the Russian Federation in 2011 with a permit for cultivation in film greenhouses on the basis of personal subsidiary plots.

Variety advantages: earlier friendly ripening, large size, uniformity and bright color of fruits, immunity to a complex of diseases.

Characteristics of the variety

Semi-vegetative type plant with a powerful branched root system. The foliage is numerous, dark green. The inflorescence is simple, forms 5-6 tomatoes. The first is laid over the 7th or 8th sheet, then – every two sheets. Articulated stem.

Fruits flat-round shape, ribbed at the stem, average weight 160-210 gr. The color of ripe tomatoes – bright red. The pulp is dense, juicy, with 3-4 seed chambers. Taste – refreshing, fragrant. Peel – elastic, does not crack, which increases the transportability of tomatoes. Variety purpose: salad.

Yields«Zorro F1» high – 11.3 kg of marketable fruits with 1m², according to the State Register. Ripening terms – early friendly, 85-95 days from germination.

Immunity to tomato mosaic virus, Verticile and Fusarium wilt, Cladosporiosis. Medium resistance to bacterial blotch.

Growing conditions

Tomato variety «Zorro F1» grown in spring film greenhouses without heating, in the first and second turns of glass greenhouses.

• The plant tolerates hot weather, develops on compacted soils.
• To increase productivity, bushes are formed into one stem. In case of premature topping of plants, a substitute stepson is retained.
• Plantings are fed with organic matter and mineral compounds with a high content of potassium.

Seedling selection

Before you buy Zorro F1 tomato seedlings, inspect it carefully.

A quality healthy seedling:

• Shrubs – 30-35 cm high, branched. The stem is strong, but not thick (the diameter of a regular pencil).
• Leaves – few (6-7 pieces), whole, elastic, raised up. No wrinkling, yellowing, brown or black spots.
• Roots – shaped, moist, undamaged.
• The color of the seedlings is rich green. Pale, weak stems and leaves indicate a lack of light when growing seedlings.
• Age for landing at a permanent place – 55-65 days.
