Tomato Azamat F1

The hybrid of the first generation Azamat F1 was developed by GREENOMICA LTD (London/Moscow). Included in the State Sort Register of the Russian Federation in 2019. Approved for cultivation in greenhouses and under temporary film cover, on the basis of private farms in all regions of Russia.

Variety advantages: high fruit set, large size, excellent taste and commercial attractiveness of tomatoes, unpretentiousness to the composition of the soil.

Characteristics of the variety

Plant vegetative type, powerful, balanced. The stems are rather leafy, the foliage is of medium length, located semi-horizontally. Inflorescence simple, 6-8 fruits. The first is tied over the 10th sheet, then every three. Articulated stem.

Fruits flat-round, slightly ribbed (shape index 0.85-0.95). The average weight of tomatoes, according to the originators, is 220-240 gr. The color of ripe tomatoes – pink-raspberry, intense. The pulp is dense, tasty with 4-6 seed chambers. Peel – resistant to mechanical stress. Segment: fresh market. Purpose: salad.

Productivitycommercial fruits «Azamat» in film greenhouses is – 9.8 kg/m². The first ripe tomatoes appear 100-115 days after germination. In this case, the tomatoes remain aligned throughout the plant until the end of the turnover. Harvest can be transported in boxes.

Immunity to tomato mosaic virus, Fusarium and Verticillium wilt, Cladosporiosis. Medium resistance to bacterial blotch.

Growing conditions

Tomato variety "Azamat F1" successfully grown film and glass greenhouses. Thanks to a powerful active root system, the plant takes root and develops well on all types of soil and in substrates.

To get larger tomatoes weighing up to 400 grams, the brushes are normalized: the first – for 3 fruits, the second and third –  by 4, then – for 5 fruits.

Seedling selection

Before you buy Azamat F1 tomato seedlings, inspect it carefully.

A quality healthy seedling:

• Shrubs – 30-35 cm high, branched. The stem is strong, but not thick (the diameter of a regular pencil).
• Leaves – few (6-7 pieces), whole, elastic, raised up. No wrinkling, yellowing, brown or black spots.
• Roots – shaped, moist, undamaged.
• The color of the seedlings is rich green. Pale, weak stems and leaves indicate a lack of light when growing seedlings.
• Age for landing at a permanent place – 60-65 days.
