Cossack Juniper «Tamariscifolia» (Tamariscifolia) – a popular type of slow-growing juniper in landscape design, native to Asia.

Appearance. A low shrub with a wide spreading crown – 0.5-1 m in height and up to 2 m in diameter. The annual growth is 30 mm high and 10 cm wide. The needles are dense light green with a blue tint. Cones are small, rounded, up to 1 cm in diameter, as they mature, they change color from green to dark blue.

Important! Juniper fruits are poisonous, not suitable for human consumption and are purely decorative.

Destination. Landscape designers use the Cossack juniper as a tapeworm for landscaping parks, gardens, flower beds, decorating borders, visual zoning of territories. Also, the shrub is suitable for container planting, for the purpose of landscaping summer areas, balconies, terraces.

Healing properties: due to the content of natural bactericidal phytoncides, juniper purifies the air around it, protects against the reproduction of viruses and infections, and is considered an excellent prevention of SARS.

Growing conditions. Juniper Tamaris is unpretentious to climate and soil type, tolerates drought, frost (up to – 40 ° C), gusty winds, polluted air, exhaust gases.

The plant can be planted in almost any region of the Russian Federation. The shrub will grow on poor rocky and sandy soils, on slopes, in unfavorable urban environments, industrial areas, near highways.
