Seed potatoes Nevsky

The potato variety Nevsky is well known to gardeners throughout the post-Soviet space. It was bred by a group of the Leningrad Research Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences back in the 70s of the XX century, by crossing the parent varieties "Candidate"; and "Veselovskaya".

Potatoes are adapted to the climatic conditions of different latitudes. Included in the State Register of varieties approved for cultivation in 1982.

In the RF "Nevsky" zoned in the Northern, Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, North Caucasus, Middle and Lower Volga, Urals, Far East, West and East Siberian regions, Central Black Earth District.

Variety advantages: early maturity, high yield, adaptability to any climate, unpretentious care, immunity to cancer, rhizoctoniosis.

Variety Features

Plant. The bush is semi-erect, low with light, slightly wavy leaves. White corollas.

Tubers oval, large. Mass of marketable potatoes 90-130 gr. The skin of the fruit is light beige with small pink eyes. Pulp – white, tasty, starch content 10-12%.

Variety purpose: table. Marketability – 90-95%.

Productivity of the Nevsky commercial – 380-500 q/ha. Potato ripening terms – medium early, 78-92 days after planting.

Immunity to the causative agent of cancer, Rhizoctonia. Susceptibility to late blight is moderate.

Growing conditions. «Nevsky» unpretentious in care, grows and bears fruit in early climatic and soil conditions. It is successfully grown in almost all regions of the Russian Federation and CIS countries.
