Hybrid of the first generation Tournament F1 bred by A. Portyankin, Grinomics LLC (Moscow). In 2020, the variety was included in the State Register of the Russian Federation with a permit for cultivation in open ground and film greenhouses in household plots.

Variety advantages: unpretentiousness to growing conditions, resistance to heat, large-fruited.

Characteristics of the variety

Plant determinate, vegetative type with a strong root system and well leafy stems. Foliage is dark green, medium length. Inflorescences simple with articulation. The first is formed over 7-8 sheets, then every 1-2 sheets.

Fruitsflat-round, slightly ribbed (shape index 0.80-0.85). Mass of tomatoes: average – 220-280gr., minimum – 180-200 gr., first fruits – up to 400 gr. The color of ripe tomatoes – bright red. Pulp – dense, with 4-6 seed chambers. Taste – refreshing. Peel – smooth, durable. The fruits tolerate transportation well.

Segment: Fresh market. Purpose of fruits: salad.

Yield of marketable fruits of the "Tournament" in film greenhouses – 15.2-16.5 kg/m². The ripening period of the crop is medium early, 90-95 days after germination.

Immunity to tomato mosaic virus, Fusarium wilt and Cladosporiosis.

Growing conditions. Hybrid Tournament F1 easily adapts to any weather conditions and soils. Gives a stable harvest, both in open ground and in film greenhouses of the 1-2nd turn. The fruits are resistant to cracking.

Seedling selection

Shrubs – 30-35 cm high, branched. The stem is strong, but not thick (the diameter of a regular pencil).
Leaves – few (6-7 pieces), whole, elastic, raised up. No wrinkling, yellowing, brown or black spots.
