Tomato Medium F1

First generation tomato hybrid Medium F1 was bred by GREENOMICA LTD (London/Moscow). Included in the State Sort Register of the Russian Federation in 2018 with permission to grow in film greenhouses and under film shelters in all regions of Russia.

Variety advantages: early ripening, powerful plant, good fruit set and transportability.

Characteristics of the variety

Plant vegetative type with a strong root system, adapts well to a small amount of substrate. The foliage is dark green, medium to large in size, drooping. The inflorescence is simple. The first is laid over 10-11 sheets, then – every three sheets. On one inflorescence, from 5 to 8 fruits are tied. Articulated stem.

Fruits flat-round shape (index 0.8-0.9), medium ribbed, large. Average weight – 280-300 gr. The color of ripe tomatoes is deep pink. Pulp – dense, tasty, contains 4-6 seed nests. Peel – elastic, does not crack. Transportability – high. Segment: fresh market. Purpose: salad.

Productivity of marketable fruits in film greenhouses – 9.5-12 kg/m². Harvest ripening dates are early, 85-95 days after germination.

Immune to mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, verticillium and fusarium wilt, blossom end rot. Medium resistance to bacterial blotch.

Growing conditions

Tomato variety Medium F1 is grown in the 1st-2nd turnover of film and glass greenhouses. The plant successfully adapts to different growing conditions and soil types, takes root in a small amount of substrate. Changes in daily temperatures do not affect plant growth, yield and fruit size. To get larger and more uniform fruits, the brushes are normalized for 3-4 fruits.

Seedling selection

• Shrubs – 30-35 cm high, branched. The stem is strong, but not thick (the diameter of a regular pencil).
• Leaves – few (6-7 pieces), whole, elastic, raised up. No wrinkling, yellowing, brown or black spots.

• The color of the seedlings is rich green. Pale, weak stems and leaves indicate a lack of light when growing seedlings.
• Age for landing at a permanent place – 50-60 days.
