Mid-early tomato hybrid of the first generation Rex F1 was bred by GREENOMICA LTD (London-Moscow). In 2011, it was included in the State Register of the Russian Federation. Recommended for cultivation in open ground and spring film unheated greenhouses.

Variety advantages: the formation of ovaries and fruits in any conditions, can be grown in open ground, & nbsp; good hiding power of the bush, the universal purpose of tomatoes.

Characteristics of the variety

Plant semi-generative type, balanced with a powerful branched root system. The foliage is dark green, numerous, large. Inflorescence simple or intermediate with articulation. The first is formed over 6-8 sheets, then – every 1-2 sheets.

Fruits cylindrical (plum-shaped) shape. Medium-sized, weighing 55-100 gr. Pulp – medium density, contains 2-3 seed nests. Peel – smooth, durable. Color – intense red. The harvest is transportable. The purpose of tomatoes is universal: they are suitable for use in the form of salads, cooking first and second courses, canning. Segment: fresh market, processing.

Productivity commercial fruits «Rex F1» – 9 kg/m². Harvest ripening – medium early, 85-95 days from the moment of germination.

Seedling selection

Before you buy seedlings of Rex F1 tomatoes, inspect it carefully.

A quality healthy seedling:

Shrubs – 30-35 cm high, branched. The stem is strong, but not thick (the diameter of a regular pencil).
Leaves – few (6-7 pieces), whole, elastic, raised up. No wrinkling, yellowing, brown or black spots.
Roots – shaped, moist, undamaged.
The color of the seedlings is rich green. Pale, weak stems and leaves indicate a lack of light when growing seedlings.
Age for landing at a permanent place – 55-65 days.
