Tomato Multistar F1

The newest indeterminate tomato hybrid of the first generation Multistar F1 was bred by GREENOMICA LTD (London/Moscow). In 2020, the variety is included in the State Register of the Russian Federation and approved for cultivation under film shelters in personal subsidiary plots.

Variety advantages: high yield, bright fruit taste, immunity to a complex of diseases.

Characteristics of the variety

Plant of vegetative type, balanced with strong root system, leafy. Leaves of a standard form, large. Inflorescences are simple or intermediate. The first is formed over 10-11 sheets, then – through three sheets. 6-8 fruits are tied on each inflorescence. Articulated stem.

Fruits rounded, slightly ribbed (shape index 0.85-0.95). Average fruit weight – 220-240 gr. The pulp is dense, juicy, contains 5-6 seed chambers. Taste – sweet, with a refreshing sourness. The color of ripe tomatoes is pink-raspberry. Segment: Fresh market. Purpose: salad.

Productivity of marketable fruits Multistar F1 in film greenhouses: 16.2-17 kg/m². The ripening period of tomatoes is medium early. The first ripe tomatoes appear on the bushes 105-110 days after germination.

Immunity to tomato mosaic virus, Verticile and Fusarium wilt, Cladosporiosis. Sometimes affected by bacterial spotting. Subject to agricultural technology, the fruits are resistant to blossom end rot.

Growing conditions

Tomato Multisar F1 is grown in the 1st-2nd turnover of film and glass greenhouses. The plant takes root well and bears fruit on different soils. Suitable for  low volume technology. In hot weather, the fruiting of the variety does not decrease.

Seedling selection

Before you buy seedlings of Multistar F1 tomatoes, inspect it carefully.

A quality healthy seedling:

• Shrubs – 30-35 cm high, branched. The stem is strong, but not thick (the diameter of a regular pencil).
• Leaves – few (6-7 pieces), whole, elastic, raised up. No wrinkling, yellowing, brown or black spots.
• Roots – shaped, moist, undamaged.
• The color of the seedlings is rich green. Pale, weak stems and leaves indicate a lack of light when growing seedlings.
• Age for landing at a permanent place – 60-65 days.
