Tomato Aikido F1

The hybrid of the first generation of Aikido F1 was bred by A. Portyankin, Grinomics LLC. (Moscow). In 2020, the variety was included in the State Register of the Russian Federation with a permit for cultivation under temporary shelters and in film greenhouses on the basis of private farms.

Variety advantages: endurance and resistance to stress factors, good hiding power of the bush, fruit uniformity, friendly yield.

Characteristics of the variety

Plant determinate, semi-generative type, strong, well leafy with a branched root system. Foliage rich color, medium length. Inflorescence simple with articulation. The first is formed over the 7-8 sheet, then – every 1-2 sheets.

Fruits round, slightly ribbed, average weight 190-280 gr. The first tomatoes on a bush can reach 400 grams. The color of ripe tomatoes – pink. Pulp – tasty, dense, contains 4-6 seed nests. The increased resistance of fruits to cracking allows them to maintain their integrity during transportation. Variety purpose: salad.

Yieldof "Aikido" marketable fruits in film greenhouses – 14.6-15.9 kg/m². The ripening period of the crop is medium early, beginning at 85-90 & nbsp; day since germination.

Immunity to Fusarium wilt, Cladosporiosis, Tomato Mosaic Virus.

Growing conditions. Tomato "Aikido F1" grown in the 1st-2nd turnover of film greenhouses, as well as in open ground. The plant takes root and bears fruit on different soils.

Seedling selection

Before you buy Aikido F1 tomato seedlings, inspect it carefully.

A quality healthy seedling:

• Shrubs – 30-35 cm high, branched. The stem is strong, but not thick (the diameter of a regular pencil).
• Leaves – few (6-7 pieces), whole, elastic, raised up. No wrinkling, yellowing, brown or black spots.
• Roots – shaped, moist, undamaged.
• The color of the seedlings is rich green. Pale, weak stems and leaves indicate a lack of light when growing seedlings.
• Age for landing at a permanent place – 55-65 days.
