The Indigo F1 pepper hybrid was bred by breeders of the international breeding and seed company GREENOMICA. In 2011, the variety was included in the State Register of the Russian Federation with permission to grow under film shelters in all regions of Russia.
Variety advantages: early ripening, long fruiting, unpretentiousness in cultivation, heat resistance.
Characteristics of the variety
Plant open type, indeterminate, semi-spreading with a powerful branched root system. The leaves are dark green, slightly wrinkled.
Fruits triangular-cone-shaped, directed downwards. Pepper dimensions: weight 120-150 gr., diameter 6-8 cm, length 14-16 cm, wall thickness 5-7 mm. Contains 3-4 seed chambers. Ripe indigo pepper red, tasty, juicy.
The fruits are dense, withstand transportation well.
Purpose. Peppers are consumed fresh, used for cooking, canning. Segment: fresh market, processing.
Productivity commodity fruits «Indigo F1» – 5.5 kg per square meter (under the film). The term of ripening of peppers – mid-early. Technical ripeness occurs 100-110 days after germination, biological – for 120-130 days.
Immune to tobacco mosaic virus and Fusarium wilt.
Growing conditions. Indigo pepper hybrid F1 is grown in open and protected ground. He tolerates heat well. It is characterized by the ability to set fruits in any conditions.
Term of planting: in open ground: southern regions – May; northern – beginning of June.
Regions: Central, Central Black Earth, Northern and Northwestern, Volga-Vyatka, Middle and Lower Volga, Urals, Western and Eastern Siberia, Far East, Caucasus.
