Hybrid of the first generation of hot pepper "Alpaca F1" bred in the breeding and seed company «Greenomica LTD» (London). In 2020, the variety is included in the State Sort Register of the Russian Federation with a permit for cultivation in open and protected ground in most regions of the Russian Federation.
Variety advantages: abundant fruiting, early ripening, unpretentiousness to growing conditions, thick fruit walls.
Characteristics of the variety
Shrub of indeterminate type, low, semi-spreading, with a well-branched root system. Stems are well leafy. The leaves are dark green, slightly wrinkled.
Fruits drooping, narrow cone shape. Small peppers: weight 20-30 gr., length 6-8 cm, diameter 3-4 cm. Wall thickness 2-3 mm. The skin of a ripe fruit is dark red, smooth with microcracks inherent in the variety. It is believed that they give the dishes a rich aroma and piquant taste.
The taste of Alpaca F1 peppers is harmonious, spicy.
Purpose: fresh market, processing. Recommended for use in home cooking and pickling.
Productivityof the variety is 1.4 kg per square meter (under the film). Alpaca maturation – early friendly, 130-140 days from germination.
Immune to tobacco mosaic virus and Fusarium wilt.
Growing conditions. The hot pepper variety Alpaca F1 grows and bears fruit both under film shelters and in open ground.
Regions: Central, Central Black Earth, Northern and Northwestern, Volga-Vyatka, Middle and Lower Volga, Urals, Western and Eastern Siberia, Far East, Caucasus.
Term of planting in open ground: southern regions – May; northern – beginning of June.
