The main advantage of raspberries «Inaccessible» – especially long period of fruiting. It starts early: from late July - early August, sometimes 15-20 days earlier (depending on climatic conditions) and can continue until the first frost.
Picking the berries of the "Inaccessible" produced at short intervals (5-7 days). Thus, it turns out up to six waves of fruiting in one season.
The bushes of this variety grow small: 1.0-1.2 m in height and do not amaze with their power. However, during the period of fruiting and ripening, the plants are strewn with berries almost along their entire length.
In terms of yield, the variety «Inaccessible» claims leadership. From one bush during the season they collect on average: 3-5 kg of raspberries, up to 6 kg of berries (with intensive care).
The fruits of the "Unattainable" differ in uniformity and attractive appearance: an elongated conical shape with a flattened tip, collected in a brush. Large: up to 4 cm – in length, weighing 4-6 grams, up to 10 grams (with proper care). Color – dark red with a characteristic sheen.
Berries of “Inaccessible” juicy with small drupes. The taste is sweet, dessert with sour – berries "melt in your mouth".
For fresh food and preparations for the winter “Inaccessible” fits perfectly, from its berries delicious jams, jams, fruit drinks are obtained. The situation is slightly worse with transportation and storage, since raspberries do not keep their shape very well and can fall apart.
Among other advantages of "Inaccessible" one can note the compactness of the bushes, which makes it possible to compact planting and increase productivity per square meter. High winter hardiness of the – it is successfully grown in regions with short, cold summers and harsh, long winters.
Planting and care
"Inaccessible" does not tolerate heat well, as well as heavy rains. In the first case, the bushes may stop developing, and the – bake and dry out. In the second – lose taste.
For planting raspberries, choose areas without direct sunlight. In the southern regions, the bushes shade. At the same time, in poor light, seedlings may be susceptible to chlorosis. Therefore, for landing, you need to find the "golden mean".
Due to the compact size of the bushes «Inaccessible» compact fit is often used. Between the bushes leave from 0.7 to 1.4 meters, depending on the width of the row spacing & nbsp; (average width: 1.5-2 m)
Raspberry care:
With conscientious and attentive care, «Inaccessible» able to show her best side. Pests and diseases will bypass raspberries if grown in an annual crop, cutting off all shoots for the winter.
Feeding. The variety is not indifferent to top dressing. Already when laying raspberries, planting pits or trenches are filled with a large amount of organic matter or mineral fertilizers. The variety loves a thick layer of organic mulch, which covers the root zone.
Do not forget about top dressing and during the entire growing season. At the same time, you should not be zealous with nitrogen-containing fertilizers. Wood ash, superphosphate, as well as complex fertilizers containing potassium, phosphorus, and trace elements are more suitable.
Pruning. Before winter, all fruiting shoots are cut at ground level. If you planted seedlings in the spring, and they have not yet had time to give a harvest, it is recommended to tie them together for the winter, bend down and cover.
When pruning in spring, the optimal number of shoots is left to obtain a bountiful harvest – 6-7 per bush. This will provide an opportunity to get one, but a luxurious harvest.
Garter. Despite the compactness and short stature of the bushes, it is recommended to arrange a single-row trellis in order to improve their illumination, streamline maintenance and facilitate harvesting.
Irrigation. During the season, raspberries need regular and abundant watering, especially in areas with a hot and arid climate.
Tip: If frosts are not uncommon in your area in September-October, to protect the last berries, throw medium-density spunbond or other "breathable" over the bushes. covering material.
