New generation strawberry variety San Andreas (San Andreas), industrial, bred at the University of California. The fruits are quite large – average weight 25-30 grams. Resistant to diseases and pests.
The repairing nature of these garden strawberries results in good productivity and the ability to harvest multiple crops in one season. The variety bears fruit from May to September, but fruiting stops if the air temperature drops to -10/-15 C°, and slows down at temperatures above + 30-35 C°.
The fruits of San Andreas strawberries are large, sweet, with a unique taste that persists throughout the season, even in greenish berries. The pulp is juicy orange-pink. The shape is conical elongated with a rounded nose. The skin is quite dense and elastic, so the berry retains its shape well during storage and transportation in boxes.
