Pear Fairy bred by breeders of the Scientific Center. Michurin (Michurinsk) by crossing the varieties "Talgar Beauty"; and Daughter of the Dawn. In 2006, the variety was included in the State Sort Register of the Russian Federation with a permit for cultivation in the Central Black Earth region. Thanks to frost resistance and productivity even in a cool climate, "Feeriya" appreciated by the gardeners of the Urals, Western and Eastern Siberia.

Variety advantages: stable fruiting, high yield, winter hardiness, keeping quality and transportability of fruits, suitable for growing on an industrial scale.

Characteristics of the variety

Treemedium-sized, 1.5-2 m high. The crown is broadly pyramidal in shape with arcuate brown-brown shoots. The foliage is emerald green, ovate, with a smooth serrated plate. The kidneys are cone-shaped.

Fruitselongated, average weight 130 gr. The funnel and saucer are completely missing. "Fairy tale" harvested in September, unripe, with a green skin and sent "to lay". The fruits ripen outside the tree. By winter, they acquire a golden yellow color and a pink blush. The pulp becomes juicy and very sweet. Tasting score of the variety 4.4 points out of 5.

Productivitypears «Feeriya» on average – 144 q/ha, up to 50 kg per tree. The first fruits may appear 3-4 years after planting seedlings. The tree gives stable yields from the 5th-6th season.

Variety Assignment– universal. "Fairy tale" can be consumed fresh, make preparations for the winter. The variety is grown for sale, incl. on an industrial scale.

Immuneto common fungal diseases and pests of fruit trees. Preventive treatment recommended.

Growing conditions. Pear variety «Feeriya» – frost-resistant (up to – 45 ° C). Temperature fluctuations do not affect the performance of the variety. Therefore, the culture is successfully grown even in regions with a harsh climate.

When planting seedlings, choose sunny corners of the garden, protected from drafts. To delay snow, they organize a barrier on the north side, for example, install barrels.

"Fairy" not self-fertile. For the formation of fruits, it needs pollinators – other pear varieties growing in the neighborhood and blooming at the same time.
