Soil for cucumbers and pumpkin plants

This is a balanced nutrient mixture of peat and a complex of fertilizers, designed for growing cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkins, squash, melons and other cucurbits. The loose, porous structure of the soil absorbs water well and promotes air exchange with the root system. The composition contains the necessary macro- and microelements, "live" microflora.

Composition:

  • Mixture of peat of varying degrees of decomposition.
  • Limestone flour – acid neutralizer.
  • Azophoska – complex nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer.
  • Agroperlite – fertilizer from volcanic rock.

Application

Peat soil is used when growing seedlings of cucumbers, zucchini, melons and other pumpkin plants. It is introduced into the holes when planting seedlings in a permanent place, in beds, in greenhouses and greenhouses. Sprinkle under the plants during the growing season.

Sowing seeds

The container for seedlings is filled to the very top with peat soil. Lightly tamp and moisten with a spray bottle. Using a pencil, make indentations, release seeds into them. The holes are sprinkled with soil and moistened again.

Transplantation, transshipment, picking

When transplanting seedlings to a permanent place in a garden bed or greenhouse, the seedling is removed from the container in which it grew, along with an earthen clod, and placed in prepared holes. Then sprinkled with peat soil to the desired level. Lightly tamp and pour over with warm water.

Nutritious peat soil in this case can be used instead of ordinary soil or added to it at the rate of 5-10 liters. by 1 m².
