The VASKhNiL nursery offers to buy soil for growing ficuses based on high-moor peat from environmentally friendly deposits in the Smolensk and Sverdlovsk regions.

Peat soil for ficuses

Ready neutralized peat substrate for growing ficus, monstera and other large-sized plants. A verified dosage of macro- and microelements increases survival rate, promotes successful growth and development of plants.

Composition:

  • Mixture of peat of varying degrees of decomposition.
  • Limestone flour – acid neutralizer.
  • Azophoska – complex nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer.

Nutritional content:

  • Nitrogen (NH4 + N03) ≤160 mg/l
  • Phosphorus (P2O5) ≤190 mg/l
  • Potassium (K2O) ≤200 mg/l

Application

Ready-made peat soil for ficuses is suitable for sowing seeds, rooting cuttings, planting plants, as well as for partial or complete replacement of ordinary soil.

Cutting

Drainage (expanded clay) is poured into the bottom of the pot, peat soil for ficuses is added on top. A recess is made in the substrate – on  1 cm longer than the length of the root system and watered. The stalk is lowered into the hole to the first lower leaf. Then they fall asleep with the remaining soil and lightly tamp.

Planting/transplanting ficuses

Drainage is laid at the bottom of the container for transplanting ficus and part of the peat soil is poured. The plant is taken out from the previous planting site along with an earthy clod and placed in the middle of the pot. Then they fall asleep with the second part of the soil, lightly tamp and moisten.
