Perennial rhizomatous stemless plant. Leaves basal, entire. The flowers are bicolor, large, during flowering form a "cap"; and completely cover the leaves. Primula prefers semi-shady places and loose, sufficiently moist soils with the addition of humus. Does not require much care. The soil should be moist, loose and free of weeds.
