The minituber category is the original seed potato, the primary (highest) stage of seed production, obtained in vitro (i.e. in vitro) from the propagation of a healthy source material

Argo – the newest variety of potatoes of early ripening. Bred by breeders of the Ural Agricultural Research Center. Included in the State Sort Register of the Russian Federation in 2022 for the Ural region.

Varie Features

Shrubsof intermediate type, semi-erect, low. Foliage is medium sized, bright green. Medium intensity anthocyanin corolla.

Tubesround-oval, large, weighing 92-130 grams. The surface is even and smooth with occasional eyes of medium depth. The peel is red-crimson color, the pulp – white. The taste of ready-made potatoes – good. Starch content – 12.7-16.7%. Tasting assessment – 4.5-4.8 points out of 5. Keeping quality –97%.

Productivity of the Argo variety: maximum – 631 q/ha. 10-14 tubers are harvested from one bush. Marketability of the crop – 80%.

Immunity to cancer and golden potato nematode, wrinkled and banded mosaic. Average susceptibility – to late blight on tops, common scab, viral diseases.
