Biennial plant. The flowers are goblet-campanulate, blue, blue, white or pink, double, up to 7 cm long, collected in a pyramidal inflorescence. The plant is unpretentious, but develops better in open, sunny places with well-cultivated, fertilized soil. Responds well to organic fertilizers and compost. For better flowering, two or three times feeding with mineral fertilizers is necessary. For seedlings, seeds are sown in late March - early April. Seedlings appear after 14-20 days, at a temperature of 15-18°C. Can be sown in open ground from May to July. Planted in a permanent place in August. In the first year, it leaves before winter with a well-developed rosette of leaves.
Used for planting in flower beds, borders, mixborders and edge plantings, they provide valuable material for cutting. They stay in water for 4-5 days.
