An annual plant. Triploid marigolds are sterile hybrids obtained by crossing deviated marigolds with erect marigolds. Flowering continues for a long period. Bush-shaped plants, up to 35 cm high. They bloom profusely with terry inflorescences of rich golden yellow color. The inflorescences are shaped like marigolds rejected, but much larger, 6-8 cm in diameter. Seeds for seedlings are sown in early April, but for earlier flowering they can be sown in March. Seedlings appear in 10-14 days at a temperature of 16-18°C. During the period of growing seedlings, it is desirable to make 2-3 top dressings with complex mineral fertilizers. Marigolds are unpretentious, fast-growing, drought-resistant and light-loving plants, but they tolerate slight shading, so they can decorate areas on the north side of buildings. Marigolds look harmonious in any flower beds.
They can be used in containers and baskets, planted in balcony boxes. Good and long stand in the cut. In addition, marigolds have a sanitary effect on the soil.
