Tomato Yamal

Tomato Yamal was bred in the early 2000s by Moscow breeder V.I. Kozak. In 2007, the variety was included in the State Register under the name "Yamal 200". with a permit for cultivation in open ground and under film shelters in all regions of Russia.

Variety advantages: cold-resistant, shade-tolerant, does not require pinching, yields a crop even in adverse weather.

Characteristics of the variety

Plant determinate type, standard. Bushes low 25-35 cm, strongly leafy. The inflorescence is simple. Articulated stem.

Fruits flat-round shape, medium ribbed. Peel of ripe tomatoes – red, smooth. The pulp is juicy, contains from 4 seed nests. The hearths are medium-sized, the average mass – 90-120 gr. Therefore, they are suitable both for fresh consumption and for whole-fruit canning. The taste is pleasant, tomato.

Productivity of marketable fruits of the variety "Yamal" high – 4.6 kg per square meter. Tomatoes ripen early, 85-105 days after germination.

Immunity to top and root rot. Resistance to late blight due to early ripening.

Growing conditions. Tomato Yamal 200 can be grown both in protected and open ground on the basis of private farms throughout Russia. The plant is cold-resistant, fruits are tied even at low temperatures, it tolerates shade well.
