Tomato Altai Strongman

Variety of tomatoes «Altai Strongman» differs in large, fleshy, attractive fruits, good stable yield, adaptation to the Siberian climate.

Characteristics of the variety

Plant indeterminate, 1.5-2 m high. Bushes are formed into 1 or 2 stems, which must be tied up.

Fruits flat-round shape, aligned, large. The average weight of tomatoes is 300-500 grams. Color – red. Pulp – fleshy, dense, with a small content of seeds. Taste – sweet, fragrant, with a refreshing aftertaste.

Variety purpose: salad. Suitable for cooking, processing into tomato juice, pasta, etc. 

Yield up to 5 kg per plant.

Growing conditions

When planting seedlings of the "Altai strongman" to a permanent place, place no more than 3 bushes per m².

To make the fruits large and tasty, and the harvest – high, you need:

• Plant seedlings in fertile soil, loam is suitable.
• Feed with complex mineral fertilizers with potassium and superphosphate.
• Regularly water – 1-2 times a week, 5-7 liters of warm water under the bush.
• Loosen row spacing and hill plants after each watering.
• Form bushes into 2 stems. Stepson.
• Thin out inflorescences – leave up to 4-5 flowers on each.
• Ventilate the greenhouse.

Seedling selection

• Leaves – few (6-7 pieces), whole, elastic, raised up. No wrinkling, yellowing, brown or black spots.
• Roots – shaped, moist, undamaged.
• The color of the seedlings is rich green. Pale, weak stems and leaves indicate a lack of light when growing seedlings.
• Age for landing at a permanent place – 50-60 days.
