Juniper Mint Julep (Mint Julep) – evergreen shrub of the cypress family, a hybrid of the Cossack and Chinese subspecies of juniper. Bred in North America.

Appearance. Shrub up to 2 meters high with a dense spreading crown – 3.5 m in diameter. Branches – arcuate, grow under 45°; to the soil surface. Needles – bright green, thick, scaly with mint aroma. Cone-berries are rounded, 1-1.5 cm in circumference, with a bluish bloom. Important! Juniper fruits and needles are poisonous, not suitable for human and animal consumption. All parts of the plant are purely decorative.

Destination. The type of juniper Mint Julep is used in the improvement of parks, squares, household plots, for decorating alleys, alpine hills, slopes, Japanese gardens, mixborders, rockeries.

The shrub looks spectacular both as a tapeworm (when planted alone) and in group compositions. For example, next to the coniferous – thuja and pine, as well as deciduous and flowering plants such as barberry, rhododendron, heather, hydrangea, erica.
