The VASKhNiL nursery offers to buy lowland (sour) peat from environmentally friendly deposits in the Smolensk and Sverdlovsk regions.

Application

It is used as an organic fertilizer to improve soil fertility, preparation of plant mixtures, for mulching in order to reduce moisture evaporation, reduce temperature changes in the soil, prevent weed germination, soil crust formation. Indispensable for planting trees and shrubs and flowers, ideal material for creating and repairing lawns.

  1. Preparing seedling mixtures

For growing seedlings of vegetable and flower crops, a mixture of lowland peat and sawdust is prepared in a ratio of 4:1. For 10 liters of the mixture, 2 g of nitrogen fertilizers and 12-15 g of complex fertilizer are applied.

  1. Improve soil structure

Scatter low-lying peat evenly over the soil surface (sandy and heavy clay soils) at the rate of 10-20 l/m2 and dig on a shovel bayonet.

  1. Mulching soil to retain moisture and control weeds.

Pour under the plant with a layer of at least 5-8 cm. To protect crops from frost, the layer height is 15 cm.

  1. Transportation of seedlings.

In order to protect the seedlings from drying out and physical damage, the root system of the seedling is placed in a bag filled with low-lying peat.

  1. Composting.

Peat is mixed with manure in a volume ratio of 1:1, with chicken manure 7:2. Compost ripening time in summer is 2-3 months.

  1. Lawn arrangement.

When laying the lawn on a prepared, leveled site, spread peat with a layer of 8-10 cm, dig to a depth of 12-15 cm, level it, slightly compact the soil (rolling), moisten, then sow the seeds of lawn grasses.
