Application of peat substrate
Outdoor planting
Nutritious peat soil – 3-5 liters for one plant. The seedling is released into the center of the hole, the roots are carefully straightened. Then the pit is covered with the second part of the soil, not reaching 2-3 cm before the inoculation. The surface of the soil is lightly tamped. Watered with settled warm water.
Potting
The bottom of the pot is covered with a layer of expanded clay for drainage. The rose, together with a clod of earth, is placed on top and sprinkled with peat soil before grafting. The substrate is gently tamped, watered with water at room temperature.
Mulching
During the budding period of roses, mulch from peat soil will reduce the amount of watering and loosening, improve the quality of the soil. In autumn, peat soil is poured under a rose bush with a layer of 10-15 cm. In winter, it keeps the rose from freezing. In spring, winter peat mulch is loosened and brought into the root system.
