Tomato Phantom F1

The first generation Phantom F1 hybrid was developed by GREENOMICA LTD (London/Moscow). In 2012, the variety was included in the State Register of the Russian Federation with a permit for cultivation under film shelters in household plots.

Variety advantages: stable fruiting and high set, compact bushes, resistance to stress factors and major nightshade diseases.

Characteristics of the variety

Plant indeterminate, vegetative type with an active root system. The foliage is dark green, medium length, drooping arrangement. Inflorescences are simple, the first is formed over 7-9 leaves, then every 1-2 leaves. 6-10 fruits are tied on the brush.

Fruits rounded, slightly ribbed, with a "nose". Color of tomatoes – bright red. Average weight – 100-170 gr., maximum – 200 gr. The pulp and skin are dense, resistant to cracking, which increases the transportability and keeping quality of the crop. The purpose of the variety is universal. Suitable for whole-fruit canning, salads, first and second courses.

Segment: fresh market, processing.

Productivity commercial fruits 10.8 kg/m². Ripening terms are early, 80-90 days after germination.

Immunity to verticile and fusarium wilt, mosaic virus, cladosporiosis. Medium resistance to bacterial blotch.

Growing conditions

Hybrid Phantom F1 is grown in the 1st-2nd turn of film greenhouses, as well as in open ground.

Plants are formed into 1-2 stems, tied to stakes or trellis.

In order to get a rich color of the fruit, increase the dose of potassium supplements. With an excess of ammonia forms of nitrogen, the fruits become less resistant to transportation.

Seedling selection

Before you buy Phantom F1 tomato seedlings, inspect it carefully.

A quality healthy seedling:

• Shrubs – 30-35 cm high, branched. The stem is strong, but not thick (the diameter of a regular pencil).
• Leaves – few (up to 7 pcs.), whole, elastic, raised up. No wrinkling, yellowing, brown or black spots.
• Roots – shaped, moist, undamaged.
• The color of the seedlings is rich green. Pale, weak stems and leaves indicate a lack of light when growing seedlings.
• Age for landing at a permanent place – 50-55 days.
