Planting and care

Care for the variety "Zlatka" pretty simple. To grow a full-fledged crop, it is enough to follow the standard agricultural practices for potatoes – timely hilling, watering, weed removal, preventive measures against the Colorado potato beetle, mole cricket, late blight.

Location. For landing "Zlatka" it is important to choose and prepare the site correctly. Sunlit, open space with light, loose, fertile soil (transitional, sandy and loamy substrates) is most suitable. Since autumn, the soil on the site is enriched: by 1 m² make 5-10 kg of humus and 40 gr. phosphorus-potassium fertilizers are dug up together with the ground to the depth of a shovel bayonet.

Deadlines. Potatoes are planted in late spring (in the 2nd or 3rd decade of May), after the earth warms up to at least +12°C degrees to a depth of 15-20 cm. The warmer the climate, the earlier the planting takes place. p>

Irrigation. With prolonged drought, "Zlatka" needs additional watering, about 1 time / 7 days. At the same time, it is important not to get carried away with irrigation, because. excess moisture can lead to the death of the roots and damage to the tubers. The drip irrigation system will handle the dosed water supply best of all.

Weeding. Weeds around the plants begin to be removed 7 days after planting, the procedure is repeated as needed.

Hilling «Zlatki» carried out twice during the growing season: when the tops reach 15 cm and at the time of flowering.

Feeding. During the season, you can carry out foliar mineral dressing – add ready-made "potato complexes" based on potassium, saltpeter, superphosphate. This will have a positive effect on the harvest.

Diseases and pests. Variety "Zlatka" resistant to cancer, wrinkled banded mosaic and leaf curl; moderately stable – to late blight. Receptive – to golden cyst nematode (R01).

Beware of counterfeit planting material! Buy seed potatoes "Zlatka" in nurseries and specialized stores.
