Apple variety «Triumph» bred by employees of the Scientific Selection and Technological Center for Horticulture and Nursery (Moscow). In 2015, the variety was patented and included in the State Register for the Central Region.

Variety advantages: compact tree, high yield, immunity to scab, honey taste of apples.

Characteristics of the variety

Tree columnar, medium height, up to 2 meters. Saplings «Triumph» are rapidly developing. The crown is compact, of medium density, narrow pyramidal shape. Shoots of olive color, straight, smooth. The foliage is short-pointed, the plate is dark green, matte, with a serrated edge.

Fruits flattened-round and spherical shape, weighing 120-50 gr. The funnel is missing. The skin is smooth with inconspicuous subcutaneous dots, color – green with red. Pulp – creamy, fine-grained, juicy, crispy. Taste – honey with a refreshing sour aftertaste. Tasting assessment – 4.6 points out of 5.

Productivity«Triumfa» on average: 5-10 kg per tree, 400 q/ha (with a planting pattern of 500 cm x 3 m). The tree begins to bear fruit in the second year of growth, after five years it gives a full harvest. Apples ripen in the second half of September.

Immunity to scab pathogens and a number of fungal diseases. Preventive treatments are recommended.

Growing conditions. Apple variety "Triumph" – self-fertile, does not require neighborhood with other varieties for cross-pollination. Frost resistance of culture – average. In regions with severe winters and sudden temperature changes, the variety can be grafted on a dwarf winter-hardy apple tree.
